Hundreds of children gathered under the open pavilion at camp

Romania Camp · Speranță pentru Viitor

For most of them, it is the first time they hear the Gospel.

Every summer 1,500–2,000 children and young people come to camp in Sighetu Marmației, in the north of Romania. Speranță pentru Viitor — “Hope for the Future” — has been running these camps since 1993.

The camp

Eight weeks, every summer.

From late June to mid-August the camp runs week after week, each one for a different age group, each one built around a clear presentation of the Gospel.

  • Evangelism weeks for children aged 6–13
  • Evangelism weeks for teenagers and youth aged 14–20
  • Spiritual growth weeks for ages 14–25+
  • A special week with Roma children

Beyond the summer

The work continues all year.

The camp is the heart of the ministry, but not all of it. Through the year the team also runs winter and sports camps, a mobile tent, street evangelism and aid for Ukraine.

Gifts to the Romania Camp fund go toward running the camps and the ministry around them.
